Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream Factory
Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield turned a $5 correspondence course on ice cream making into a very successful gourmet food business. Exhibits in the Ben & Jerry's Hall of Fame provide a humorous documentary of the company's growth. The ice cream factory uses state-of-the-art industrial food engineering technology to produce its high-quality, environmentally friendly products. Guided tours of the facility include demonstrations of each step in the ice cream making process, including the flavor-development lab.
