Chemistry Lesson: Making an Impact on Habitat

In the film Dream Big, teams of engineers compete to create the best underwater robot. The team that wins is a high school group using cheap, inexpensive materials. Engineers know that sometimes the best solutions to problems are those that limit the need for nonrenewable resources. For this reason, chemical engineers experiment with using the chemicals left over from everyday human activities to solve problems like energy production and pollution reduction.
